Riverwalk’s newest facility, the Novant Health Supercross BMX Track, is ramping up to host this year’s USA Cycling Elite National BMX Championship!
Join us March 20-22, 2015 for this epic 3-day event, expected to bring over 1,000 competitors from across the country as riders earn valuable USA BMX National points.
March 20, 2015 kicks off day one of the Carolina Nationals which serves as the USA Cycling Elite National BMX Championship. Riders from across the United States will compete to be crowned “National Champion” in junior woman, men as well as elite woman, men.
Participants in these championship elite categories must be US citizens and the champion will have the honor to wear the American flag on their left sleeve jersey in 2015. The championship class qualifying criteria to participate and represent the United States for the 2015 UCI BMX World Championships in Zolder, Belgium on July 21-26, 2015.
2015 USA BMX Carolina Nationals
On March 21-22, the Carolina Nationals will be stop number 5 of 34 events on the USA BMX National tour held across the United States. It will also serve as a USA BMX Pro Series race where all the top pro and elite Olympic hopefuls will be in attendance.
The USA BMX Nationals series will come to an end over Thanksgiving weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the USA BMX Grand Nationals where overall champions will be crowned for the season.
The Novant Health BMX Supercross Track is the only Olympic-caliber training facility on the East coast, and one of only a handful in the United States. With both an amateur and an elite supercross ramp, the venue has quickly become popular with riders of all ages and abilities.
