In addition to our stellar cycling facilities, the Rock Hill Outdoor Center also offers miles of both paved and natural trails, open green spaces and a devoted canoe / kayak launch.
The Piedmont Medical Center Trail is the most recent addition to the City of Rock Hill’s Trails and Greenways system and is a key segment of the regional Carolina Thread Trail that will link 15 counties in North and South Carolina connecting over two million people.
The 3.35 mile multi-use trail begins near the canoe / kayak launch along the Catawba River and will eventually connect to athletic fields throughout the Riverwalk community, nearby River Park and the redesigned Hwy. 21 bridge project that will be bike and pedestrian friendly.
With 3.35 miles of paved trails along the Catawba River, connecting to 15 counties along the scenic Carolina Thread Trail, it’s easy to get close to nature at Riverwalk.
The opening of the Rock Hill Outdoor Center Greens marked Riverwalk’s first athletic field. A variety of recreational venues, managed and maintained by the City of Rock Hill, will follow including soccer, baseball and additional green spaces.
Relax and unwind on a canoe or kayak trip along the scenic Catawba River. The river offers a great adventure for paddlers of all skill levels.
